High PR Links
When dealing with SEO: the better the links to your website; the higher the pagerank.
A pagerank is a numeric value assigned to the site that represents how highly regarded a page is on the web. Search engines such as Google look as links as a voting system; when one page links to another it is a vote for the other page. The more votes that they receive for the page, the more important the page must be, gaining a higher PR ranking.
Submitting a website to a high PR directory or search engine can take months to display a website. Not only that but these directories can charge a lot of money for a listing. Having a site listed in these directories is great, but there are several sites out there than will list a website for free if it has good quality links back to the site.
The process works by search engines picking up high pagerank links to your site, which indicates to them that other sites they rate highly link to you. Therefore your site will be advantageous to their users, giving you a higher pagerank.
The higher your pagerank, the more superior your search engine visibility becomes.
